For the past 36 years, Bharathidasan Institute of Management (BIM) has nurtured and built the best brand of leaders. Its meticulously crafted courses and curriculum makes it stand out among India’s Top B schools

Experts believe that what students do in a college matters more than where they finally go. Which makes it very critical that we choose an institution that promotes engagement among students, both inside and outside the classroom. BIM-School of Excellence, affiliated to the Bharathidasan University, thrives on that. It excels in giving its students the best faculty, freedom of expression, exposure to industry bigwigs and all-round support with personalised attention.

Founded in 1984, the institution caters to the individual needs of students and builds a steeper learning curve for all of them. Several industry experts have praised and testified the distinctive brand of leaders that BIM has yielded for years. Its coveted MBA programme is an amalgamation of a highly rigorous and contemporary curriculum, and experiential learning facilitated by sublime faculty. Entry to the course is through a rigorous selection process. BIM has an annual intake of only 120 students. The institute also has a strong and close-knit alumni of over 3,600 professionals spread across the globe.

Student Engagement

It is mandatory for every BIM student to be a member in a club/committee. This is important to develop their social and team-working skills. These clubs and committees are designed in such a way that the members work together towards a single goal and work along with other clubs and committees to carry out any event or activity. It provides an intense experience in learning to lead and be a part of a team to decide and organise an event or an activity. This provides a platform where the students learn the practicality of the management concepts, experience a simulation of a managerial role and activities and put their leadership skills to use. The club activities help build a wonderful bond among all students.

Events: Crescita and Athenaeum

CRESCITA, a management festival being organised since 2005, has been a powerhouse of innovation and knowledge. The event exposes students to the current happenings of the changing corporate world. It attracts budding managers from B-schools across India as well as industry stalwarts from across the globe. This year, it was organised as two conventions – an intuitive interaction session with global leaders, VERTICE and a B-school management fest, DEXTRA.

ATHENAEUM is an international research conclave of BIM organised with a vision to promote academic value in management practice. The event involves high-profile panel discussions on various contemporary themes in different areas of management. While senior academic experts present the practically relevant contemporary research developments and insights, industry experts throw light on management issues that offer scope for future research.
