Delhi riots: One year on…

Forty-five-year-old Moinuddin, whose spare cloth shop was gutted on February 24, a year ago in the riots that took place in Delhi, is uncertain about the future along with hundreds of others.

The houses in some of the localities in northeast Delhi like Maujpur, Seelampur and Mustafabad do not betray the scars of the past. The violence began last year near Jaffrabad Metro Station, but swiftly spread to other neighbourhoods in northeast Delhi on February 23, 2020, and continued for some days.
