Goa Board Classes 10th & 12th exams postponed

PANAJI: With another highest per day ever since pandemic of 1502 new Covid-19 cases reported in Goa on Wednesday, chief minister Pramod Sawant announced that the state board Class X and XII exams are postponed.

Class XII exams scheduled from April 24 have been postponed of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. Class X exam scheduled from May 13 have also been deferred, he said.

Decision on new dates for the deferred Class XII and X exams of Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will come by April 30, the chief minister said.

“No offline exams in schools and colleges scheduled upto April 30 will take place for now,” he said.

“Directorate of education will take decision on whether teachers will report to schools. As per government instructions, educational institutes are shut for students upto April 30,” chief minister said.

School, colleges, coaching classes will be shut in Goa for students upto April 30, he said.

“Restrictions will be effective upto April 30 in Goa. Situation will be reviewed thereafter,” he said.

17 Covid-19 deaths were recorded in Goa in last 24 hours, chief minister said.
