ICSE exam postponed: ICSE board exams for Class 10, 12 postponed

NEW DELHI: Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Friday decided to postpone the ICSE and ISC board examination scheduled to be held from May 4 amid rising Covid-19 case

“The Covid situation will be closely monitored and the deferment of the ICSE & ISC 2021 examinations will be reviewed and a final decision on the conduct of the board examinations will be taken by the 1st week of June,” the council said in a statement.

The Council said while the class 12 examination will be conducted at a later date, the candidates for the class 10 exams will be given an option to write the offline examination, along with the Class 12 candidates.

They will also be given the option to not to write the offline examination.

“In view of the ICSE candidates opting for the second option, the CISCE will develop a fair and an unbiased criterion while preparing the results of such candidates,” it said.

Earlier this week, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) postponed Class 12 board exams and cancelled Class 10 board exams in view of the current Covid situation.
