In a first, Kendriya Vidyalaya approved for Bilaspur in Yamunanagar by government

AMBALA: Union minister of education Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Monday announced the establishment of a Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) at Bilaspur sub-division of Yamunanagar district.

With this development, Yamunanagar district will have its first KV. This has brought happiness among the residents in Bilaspur area, as KVs provide quality education as per the curriculum of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), while most of the government schools of Haryana state provide education as per state board syllabus.

“I am very happy to share that Kendriya Vidyalayaya Sangathan is going to launch a new Kendriya Vidyalayaya in Haryana. The name of this school opening in Yamunanagar district is ‘Kendriya Vidyalayaya Bilaspur’. @KVS_HQ #KVS#KendriyaVidyalayaya @mlkhattar@kataria4ambala”, tweeted minister Pokhriyal on Monday.
In the thread of his above tweet, Pkhriyal added, “I extend my heartiest congratulations to all the students and parents who are going to benefit from this school. With this school, the total number of Kendriya Vidyalayas in the country will increase to 1248.”

Reacting to the development, Haryana education minister thanked Union minister and tweeted, “Thank you very much that our district received the gift of Kendriya Vidyalayaya, Bilaspur.”

Saranjit Singh a resident of Bilaspur said, “Kendriya Vidyalaya is definitely going to provide better education to people in Bilaspur area. As of now, we are not clear about where this school will be developed and when.”

Yamunanagar deputy commissioner (DC) Mukul Kumar said, “A Kendriya Vidyalaya Bilaspur has been approved by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Organisation and this process was ongoing for a long time. The school village will be developed at Hartaul village in Bilaspur sub-division and all the technical formalities of the site have been cleared. For the time being, till the building of KV gets ready, the school will be run at Hadwala village in Bilaspur area.”

“The school will be established as per the norms of the KV organisation and this is the first ever KV which is coming up in Yamunanagar district. The development has been welcomed by the public and for us, it is a big achievement”, added DC Yamunanagar Mukul Kumar.
