The varsity also announced the creation of University School of Automation & Robotics (USAR) and University School of Design & Innovation (USDI).
The varsity will also offer PhD in economics and architecture from the current academic session, said Mahesh Verma, vice-chancellor of GGSIPU, while releasing three admission brochures — General Brochure, Brochure for MPhil & PhD Admissions and Admission Brochure for Foreign Students — online. He said now there will be around 4,000 students.
“Once the university is opened, students will be allowed to use the new campus with all new amenities. We have increased our presence and we wish to see an increase in the number of students in future,” he added.
The VC said that everything in the admission process will be online and no one needs to come to the campus for document verification.
“For one and a half years we have been uncomfortable due to the pandemic. But despite all hurdles we held admissions and are conducting exams online. Hopefully things will get better from now,” said Verma.
The last date for the admission registration is July 15.
