Maharashtra SSC evaluation pattern released, results expected by June end

Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) on Friday released the details of the SSC assessment methodology.

Following are the important points and highlights:

  • 100 marks to every subject will be awarded as per following break-up
  • Internal marks based on year-long performance — 30 marks
  • Home work/orals/practical based evaluation — 20 marks
  • Fifty per cent marks of Class IX

Students who are not satisfied with this evaluation method and its outcome can sit for class improvement examination conducted after the Covid situation normalises.

A seven-member committee headed by principal will be formed by every school to oversee the SSC results. Any malpractice at school level will be fined and disciplinary action will be taken.

The MSBSHSE also said that the state board examination results will be announced by June-end. Time table for evaluation process and its completion will be announced soon for schools.

Evaluation pattern for external students, repeaters and students attempting few subjects will also be decided soon.

Optional CET will be held for admissions based on SSC syllabus for 100 marks in MCQ pattern for 2 hours.

The students attempting the entrance test will be given preference for FYJC admissions and if any seats are left, then the students who did not attempt entrance test will be given a chance for admission based on Class X evaluation.
