mp 12th board exam news: MP Board exam 2021: Decision on class XII exams in 1st week of June


BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh will decide on the final exams of class 12 in the first week of June. School education minister Inder Singh Parmar said on Monday, there is no proposal to make changes in the exam pattern this year. However, sources said, if conditions are not favourable for conducting the exams, the school education department may conduct exams of the core subjects only.

Preparations for the class 12 examination have already begun by the school education department. At the moment, changes in the examination system are not proposed, Parmar has made it clear. “If the circumstances are favourable, then the exam will be done on the old pattern only,” said Parmar.

Officials said, class 12 board exam new dates will be released by the board when the situation improves; candidates will be given information about exam dates at least 20 days in advance. These exams deeply impact entrance examinations across the country. Keeping this in mind, suggestions have been sought from various state governments and union territories by May 25 the union government.

MP board has already cancelled class 10 exams. The Class 10 students will now be assessed based on their mid-term exams or pre-boards, unit tests, and internal assessment. While preparing the results, pre-board performance will get 50 per cent weightage, unit tests will get 30 per cent and internal assessment will get 20 per cent weightage.

Past three years’ performance of schools in board results will also be considered. If a candidate fails to obtain the minimum passing marks (33 per cent), he/she will be given grace marks and promoted to the next class.
