MP to decide about class 12 exams in June first week

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh will decide about the final exams of class 12 in the first week of June. School education minister Inder Singh Parmar on Monday said that there is no proposal to change in the exam pattern. Sources said that if conditions are not favourable then it may conduct exams of the core subjects only.

The preparations for the class 12 examination have already begun by the school education department. At the moment, changes in the examination system are not proposed, Parmar made it clear. “If the circumstances are favourable, then the exam will be done on the old pattern only,” said Parmar.

The exams of class 12 have deeply impacted other state board exams and entrance examinations across the country. Keeping this in mind, suggestions have been sought from various state governments and union territories by May 25.

Based on the input of the states, the class 12 examinations will be considered by the central government in the interest of all the students.

Notably, the Covid-19 epidemic has affected various sectors including the education sector, especially board exams and entrance examinations. Keeping in mind the current situation, almost all the state boards of education, CBSE and ICSE have postponed the class 12 examination, 2021.
