At the meeting held by the minister of state for education Govind Singh Dotasra with officials of the department, Dotasra said the certificate of CTET has been made valid for life, though the department was yet to receive a letter from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The minister has said a factual test will be done after the NCTE letter arrives.

Thereafter, the government will decide on the lifetime validity of REET’s certificate. Efforts are being made that this exercise will be completed before the upcoming examination. In the meeting, 15 points related to the department were discussed in detail.
