REET 2021 exam postponed due to Covid 19


NEW DELHI: The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan has decided to postpone the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher (REET) due surge in the Covid 19 cases. Earlier, the exam was scheduled for June 20, which has now been postponed indefinitely.

The online application process for REET 2021 commenced on January 11 and concluded on February 8, 2021.

According to the new rules, only Basic School Teaching Certificate (BSTC) holders are allowed to appear in the REET Level-1 exam. The REET score will constitute 90% of the weightage against 70% in the old scheme. The rest 10% would be evaluated on the basis of scores at graduate and board scores.

The REET exam is being conducted after 2018. The board will open recruitment of 31,000 teachers in the education department through the REET exam.
