UGC-NET May 2021 exam postponed due to Covid-19

NEW DELHI: Due to prevailing Covid-19 pandemic situation in the country National Testing Agency (NTA) has postponed the UGC-NET May 2021 examination.

The UGC-NET December 2020 cycle (May 2021) Computer Based Test (CBT) examination is scheduled to be held between May 2 and May 17, 2021 throughout the country covering 81 subjects.

Union education minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank tweeted, “Keeping in mind the safety & well-being of candidates and exam functionaries during #covid19outbreak, I have advised @DG_NTA to postpone the UGC-NET Dec 2020 cycle (May 2021) exams.”

The NTA has decided to postpone the UGC-NET December 2020 cycle (May 2021) examination because of the present situation of the Covid-19 pandemic and also taking into account the safety and well-being of the candidates and examination functionaries.

The NTA will announce the revised dates for the UGC-NET December 2020 cycle (May 2021) examination later and will announce at least 15 days before the examination.

The candidates, who have applied for the UGC-NET December 2020 cycle (May 2021) examination, are advised to keep visiting the official NTA website – and for the latest updates.
