UPSC CDS Exam 2020 final result announced, check here

NEW DELHI: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Monday declared the final results of Combined Defence Services Examination (I) 2020 on its official website –

On the basis of CDS Exam (I) 2020 conducted by the UPSC and Interviews held by the Services Selection Board of the Minister of Defence to the Officers Training Academy, Chennai total 147 candidates have qualified.

It may be noted that the marks of the candidates will be available within 15 days from the date of declaration of final results on Commission’s website for 30 days.

The final selection will be made in order of merit subject to medical fitness and suitability in all other respects and number of vacancies available.

The list of 113th Short Service Commission Course (for Men) also includes the names of the candidates who were recommended earlier on the basis of the result of the same examination for admission to Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course(s).

Union Public Service Commission has a Facilitation Counter near Examination Hall Building in its Campus. Candidates may obtain any information/clarification regarding their examination on working days between 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM, in person or over telephone No. 011-23385271, 011-23381125 and 011-23098543.

The number of vacancies as intimated by the Government, for (i) 113th Short Service Commission Course (for Men) is 225 and for (ii) 27th Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course is 16.

Candidates who qualify in the written examination for IMA (D.E.) Course and/or Navy (S.E.) Course and/or Air Force Academy course irrespective of whether they have also qualified for SSC Course or not will be detailed for SSB test in August-September, 2021 and candidates who qualify for SSC Course only will be detailed for SSB tests in October to December, 2021.

The UPSC CDS written exam was conducted in February while the interviews took place in the month of April 2021.


As per the decision taken by the Government for increasing the access of unemployed to job opportunities, the Commission will publically disclose the scores of the candidates (obtained in the Written Examination and SSB Interview/Personality Test) through the public portals. The disclosure will be made in respect of only those candidates who will appear in the SSB Interview for the Combined Defence Services Examination and are not qualified. The information shared through this disclosure scheme about the unsuccessful candidates may be used by other public and private recruitment agencies to appoint suitable candidates from the information made available in the public portal.


Candidates for the Indian Military Academy Course or Naval Academy Course or Indian Air Force Academy Course or Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai must undertake not to marry until they complete their full training.
